If there’s an easier way to turn boneless, skinless chicken breasts into a killer, creamy cheese-topped dinner, we don’t know what it is. And did we mention it only takes five ingredients?
By TBSP Kitchens
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 container (5 ounce) plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375° F. Spray baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Blend yogurt, Parmesan cheese, and seasonings.
- Spread over chicken breasts. Bake for 45 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and topping is browned. Serve immediately.
Expert Tips
- Because chicken breasts are white meat, they lack the fat required to keep the meat moist. Adding yogurt helps add moisture and flavor keeping the meat tender.
- It is very important to cook chicken thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit. Using a meat thermometer can help make sure your chicken is cooked all of the way through without over or under cooking.
- Brining or marinating chicken ahead is just another simple way to keep chicken moist and yummy.
- Chicken breast is a blank canvas and tastes good with other fresh herbs and seasonings also. Try it with paprika, thyme, fresh pieces, fresh rosemary or onion powder.
- Serve these chicken breasts along with a fresh salad or mashed potatoes for an entire meal.
